The Raven

Raven is a compact, multi-purpose rigging device designed to replace several single-function tools with one piece of aluminum hardware.

The Raven can serve as:

- Toggle
- TRRP (Transient Releasable Rigging Point)
- Releasable block
- Jester-style rigging
- Throttle rappel device

The Raven Advantage:

Many canyoneers carry up to three separate devices to cover these functions (e.g., a toggle, a figure eight for releasable blocks, and a GiGi-style device for TRRPs). Raven consolidates those capabilities to simplify your kit and reduce carried weight.

Material Advantage: Raven is made from aluminum, so it is not subject to the same breakage risk as plastic toggles.

NOTE: The Raven: First Edition is Sold Out. Response to the introduction of the Raven exceeded expectations. We will continue taking orders beyond the first 100-unit production run.

The Raven Bag from Gear Perspective

The Micro 60 and Micro 30 rope bags are purpose-built by Gear Perspective to accommodate Rich Carlson’s new Raven device. They each feature a dedicated interior pocket that houses a removable flotation pad alongside ample space for storing your Raven safely inside the bag.

The Micro 60 Raven Bag will hold up to 60 meters of supple 6mm rope/cord, such as the SlickLine or AdrenaLine from CE4Y. The Micro 30 Raven Bag will hold up to 30 meters.

Currently comes in Blackout Ultra Grid to match your Raven.
